Sabancı University Performing Arts Center is preparing to host the highly acclaimed adaptation by Semaver Kumpanya, one of Türkiye's most original theatre companies. On Tuesday, October 14th, Molière's masterpiece 'The Miser' will be on stage with performances by Serkan Keskin and Sezin Bozacı.
Sabancı University Performing Arts Center (SGM) continues its new season with an ambitious production. A contemporary adaptation of Molière's masterpiece 'The Miser', a masterpiece of the French comedy tradition, will be staged at SGM on Tuesday, October 14th. In this contemporary interpretation, translated into Turkish by Sabahattin Eyüboğlu, Serkan Keskin and Sezin Bozacı take the leading roles.

Molière's immortal work, 'The Miser,' which has been performed to sold-out audiences by Semaver Kumpanya for ten seasons, portrays the events of 17th-century Paris through the obsessions of Harpagon, a character who lives only for his own fortune, in a humorous way. 'The Miser' is one of Molière's sharpest and most universal satires, timelessly exposing human weaknesses. This masterpiece not only tells the story of a single character but also reveals universal aspects of human nature such as stinginess, selfishness, and a lack of love, in a way that remains relevant today. Tickets for the show can be purchased here.
